Date and location: 14-15 January 2016, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies and Uzbek State University of World Languages

Number and type of participants:  Between 20-25, MHSSE representatives, Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) TSIOS representatives and about 75 people, lecturers from the departments of inter-faculty foreign languages, English language lecturers from the non-linguistics higher educational institutions.

Desired learning outcomes: participants have learnt about: best practices of teaching English, knowledge of ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and EAP (English for Academic Purposes), best practices of course design, understanding the competence based learning in language teaching

Number and type of participants: Between 70-80, MHSSE representatives, Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), representatives of TFI, Supreme Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, TUIT representatives and other Universities of the country

Desired learning outcomes: participants have learnt about best practices of understanding the principles of doctoral programmes organisation and the international standards for quality assurance in doctoral education; holding qualified scientific investigations and increase level of teaching in technical Universities; writing scientific articles, analyse scientific works (papers and dissertations); international cooperation for joint research with EU Universities. Discussion of draft resolution on the seminar theme.
