On 19-20 November 2020 the Education Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission organizes an online Regional Cluster Meeting on CBHE Projects Impact in Central Asia.

The event is organised by EACEA, the General Direction for Education and Culture and the National Erasmus+ Offices from the 5 Central Asian countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. As an initiative of the Erasmus+ Programme, the Regional Cluster Meeting will bring together project coordinators and team members from the 5 Central Asian countries as well as representatives from the European Commission, the European Delegations in Central Asia and some International Erasmus+ Contact Points in Europe. Representatives of the Ministries of Education of the five Central Asian countries will open the event.

 

The Regional Cluster Meeting includes plenary sessions and a series of five interactive workshops held in English and in Russian language. It will focus mainly on the impact and sustainability of CBHE projects and topics such as quality assurance, curricula reform, accessibility, internationalisation of universities, university and business cooperation, regional cooperation and the promotion of Higher Education reforms in the framework of the Bologna Process will be discussed.  Furthermore, it will be an opportunity to identify challenges in the implementation of international projects in Central Asia. 

 

During the Cluster meeting, coordinators and participants of ongoing CBHE projects will have an opportunity to discuss the challenges in project management during the COVID-19 pandemic confinement period. The goal of this Regional Cluster Meeting is to stimulate the analysis and debate on the current Erasmus+ Programme and to nurture the future EU education programme.
