TAM seminar on “Learning outcomes: tools and approaches for improving qualification frameworks in the higher education system of Uzbekistan”
The first day of the seminar was held at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies(TSIOS) on 14 November 2017. The round table was attended by 25 participants representing State Testing Centre, State Committee for Science and Technologies, staff of 5 HEIs and the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts. Welcoming speeches to the round table participants were addressed by the vice-rector of TSIOS Ms.Gulchekhra Rikhsieva and Head of Department of the State Testing Centre Mr. Boysun Nazarov.
The second day of the seminar continued in the premises of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers on 15 November 2017. Over 50 participants benefited of the live seminar, full of interactive presentations and discussions.
During two-day event Professor Lucien Bollaert from Ghent University (Belgium) shared his experience on learning outcomes, qualification frameworks and quality assurance in higher education.
The participants learnt the following issues of seminar agenda:
Identify the importance of learning outcomes for curricula and national qualifications frameworks
To analyse and compare the tools and best practices of the "learning outcomes"
Develop/formulate and evaluate "learning outcomes" in the framework of curriculum development.
