Title of the seminar: "Joint and Double Degree Programmes: Strategy, management, implementation”


The online TAM seminar organised on 11-12 March 2021 has been highly evaluated by the participants (mainly representatives of academic departments of HEIs) of the event. The participants have mentioned that the event is very relevant to the current reforms in the HE system of the country. Especially the participants noted that the presentations and interactive seminar of the EU expert Ms. Annika Sundbäck-Lindroos made the seminar very valuable. The event is organised on online seminar format. Q&A sessions following each presentation have made the seminar very dynamic. Discussions during the two-day seminar are provided an opportunity for the participants to clarify many issues in the field of joint and double degrees. Moreover, participation of relevant staff from Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education (MHSSE) and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education (SISQE) helped describe the topic considering internal reforms in the field of joint and double degree programmes. Title of the seminar: "Digitalisation of university: concept and its role in the reforming of the HEIs"

On May 31 -  June 1, 2021  an online seminar on "Digitalisation of university: concept and its role in the reforming of the HEIs" was organized and the online event was attended by Professor Juàrez i Vives Pere from the University of Barcelona, Spain.

During the TAM seminar, topics such as the concept of “Digitalization of Higher Education Institutions”, the skills of teachers and students in using digital technologies, the digitization of the European higher education system and the reform of educational standards were discussed.

Title of the seminar “Teaching and learning, key challenges in quality assurance (Best EU practice)”

On 4-5 November 2021 the two-day online seminar was attended more than 60 people from 46 higher education institutions. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office of Uzbekistan jointly with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education. The main speaker was Dr. Oliver Vettori from Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria). 

 Main objectives of the seminar:

-From teaching to learning: Traditional challenges and some novel approaches

-Designing effective courses: Activating your prior knowledge

-Pedagogical methodologies used abroad: some international examples

-Quality indicators in teaching and learning

The participants have mentioned that the event was very relevant to the current reforms in the HE system of the country. The participants were satisfied of the presentations and Q&A of the EU expert Professor Oliver Vettori. The event was organised in online format. Q&A sessions following each presentation let to participants to discuss the TAM topic. Discussions during the two-day seminar provided the participants with an opportunity to clarify some points of collaborative learning and quality indicators in teaching and learning. 

 

Tilte of the seminar "Improving the quality of teaching in educational institutions through the introduction of new curriculum, modern pedagogy and intellectual technologies into the educational process"

 

On 18-19 November 2019 the two-day seminar was attended by 40 people from 21 higher education institutions and the State Inspectorate for Education Quality Supervision. One of the speakers was Professor Ebba Ossianilsson, a European expert with extensive experience working with international institutions and European education standards. 

During the seminar, Professor Ebba Ossianilsson presented the information on the implementation of educational programs, digital and smart technologies, innovative teaching methods; monitoring the quality of education and teaching; further development of criteria and methods for quality control; improving existing quality assurance mechanisms based on the best world standards and experience.One of the speakers was a European Expert - Professor Dr. Ebba Ossiannilsson who has the outstanding experience in working with International Institutions and European standards of Education.  

The parties also exchanged views on the concepts, goals and policies of the internal quality assurance system at universities and on the quality of educational programs.

Title of the seminar:
  “Perspectives and methods of organising joint master’s programmes in cooperation with European universities on double-degree basis; procedures for the development and implementation of joint educational programme”

On 23-24 April, 2019 the regional TAM seminar was held at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers (TIIAME). 

More than 130 people representing 55 higher education institutions from Tashkent and all country regions, line ministries, moreover 8 representatives of Kazakhstan HEIs and NEO participated in the event. State Inspection of Supervision of the quality of education and State Testing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  and other stakeholder organisations took part in the seminar.

Welcoming remarks were made by the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Prof. Uzoqboy Begimkulov, the Head of Political, Press and Information Section of EU Delegation Mr Jussi Narvi, and Vice-Rector of TIIAME Prof. Abduhakim Salohiddinov.

During two-day event Professor Francesco Girotti from Bologna University (Italy) shared his experience on  double-degree master’s programmes organisation, requirements and conditions for implementation and establishment of joint programmes and alternative ways of financing such programmes, management of joint educational programmes, ensuring and monitoring the quality of education in joint educational programmes.

The participants learnt the following issues of seminar agenda: 

Regulatory and legal bases for the creation and implementation of joint educational programmes of universities;

Criteria for the classification of the educational programme;

Forms and procedure for the implementation of joint educational programmes;

Management of joint educational programmes;

Evaluation of learning outcomes in the implementation of joint educational programmes.
