Erasmus+ Information Day in Tashkent
November 24, 2016 the Erasmus+ Information Day was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE).
More than 120 people representing 54 higher education institutions from Tashkent and all country regions, line ministries and stakeholder organisations took part in the Information Day.
Welcoming remarks were made by the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Uzoqboy Begimkulov, the EU Ambassador Mr Eduards Stiprais, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, and Vice-rector of Tashkent State University of Economics Sherzod Mustafakulov. The role of Tempus/Erasmus+ in on-going modernisation process was emphasized by speakers.
The newly appointed Attaché on education and university cooperation from the Embassy of France in Tashkent encouraged the participants to consider potential partnerships with the French Universities and study opportunities in France.
At the occasion of 30-year Anniversary of the Erasmus programme, “Tempus and Erasmus+ Projects Fair” was organised in the framework of the Erasmus+ Information Day. In total 12 projects, including 5 Tempus and 7 Erasmus+ CBHE projects presented the results, the project teams and publications produced within the project. By the end of Information Day the best presenters of Tempus/Erasmus+ projects were nominated and awarded 3 prizes: the 1st place – E+ MIND, the 2nd place – E+ ModeHED and the 3rd place – Tempus UZHELTH.
During the Information Day the NEO staff, members of the National Team of HEREs and project coordinators delivered presentations on the cooperation opportunities within Erasmus+ programme.
